As global attention remains focused on developments following the Israel–US war on Iran, Israeli violations of the so-called ceasefire agreement announced on 10 October 2025 continue unchecked. Since then, more than 800 Palestinians have reportedly been killed through direct gunfire targeting civilians, homes, and displacement shelters, as well as through ongoing air, ground strikes.
In its latest reports, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip is continuing to deteriorate due to widespread infrastructure destruction, severe overcrowding, and persistent insecurity. Large numbers of displaced families are sheltering in damaged buildings or overcrowded tents, where poor sanitation, limited access to clean water, and untreated waste are contributing to growing public health risks.
Daily life for Palestinians in Gaza, which is barely covered by the media, remains extremely difficult. According to OCHA, food insecurity continues to worsen as a result of rising prices and reduced imports, forcing more people to rely on humanitarian aid while consumption of vegetables, fruit, and protein sharply declines. OCHA also reported that many households have resorted to burning waste for fuel because of severe shortages of cooking gas.
As for the Rafah crossing, Israel has continued to close it frequently, permitting only restricted passage. This has left thousands of injured Palestinians in urgent need of medical evacuation with severely limited options for accessing treatment.
How long will Israeli violations continue to be tolerated?
