Call for Offers: Newsletter editor for Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung Regional Office Palestine & Jordan

 

The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung (RLS) is a German political foundation that is active throughout Germany and internationally. In the spirit of its namesake, the socialist Rosa Luxemburg, it seeks to promote peace, democracy, social justice, and democratic socialism. With our worldwide network of offices, RLS pursues pluralism, democracy and social, economic and gender justice.

The RLS Regional Office Palestine & Jordan is looking for a qualified communications and/or editorial professional with experience in digital publishing and newsletter production to support the development and production of a pilot English-language newsletter for the office. The pilot issue is planned for December 2026. The production and editorial process shall take start in mid of October. A continuation of the cooperation for future newsletters is possible.

Scope of work

The successful applicant will support the office team with:

  • Developing the newsletter’s editorial and visual format.
  • Designing a professional and accessible newsletter template.
  • Structuring and editing content in English, with initial content provided by RLS team.
  • Leading the production and editorial process.
  • Implementing the use of a newsletter platform (e.g. Mailchimp, CleverReach).
  • Managing the complete production of the newsletter, including technical setup, integrating mailing addresses, testing, and final publication.
  • Providing guidance to the office team on the use of the newsletter platform and the production of future issues.

 

Applicant requirements

  • Proven experience in newsletter development, digital communication, editorial work, or graphic design.
  • Excellent English writing and editing skills.
  • Experience with Mailchimp, CleverReach, or similar platforms.
  • Strong visual and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate closely with the RLS office.
  • Knowledge of the work of RLS Palestine & Jordan Office is an asset.
  • Experience with political, social justice, human rights, or international development communication is an asset.
