Program Manager in Gaza (part time, 50%)
The Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung (www.rosalux.de) is a German political foundation founded in 1990 as a provider of civic education and a center for progressive social research. RLS supports partners striving for social justice around the world to strengthen public participation and economic development. RLS is affiliated with the German Left Party. RLS Regional Office Palestine & Jordan is based in Ramallah – Palestine. It is cooperating with partner organizations in the Palestinian Territories and in Jordan, as well as it is implementing its own activities.
Position concept:
The program manager, based in Gaza, is responsible for developing, supporting and monitoring RLS funded projects activities in Gaza. S/he will facilitate a link between the RLS Office in Ramallah and the partner organizations and network in Gaza.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Implementing all tasks related to the RLS program in Gaza, e.g. conceptualizing, supporting and following up on partner projects and self-implemented activities
- Building and maintaining relations with partners, extending the network and further developing the work, including supporting articles, analyses, and interviews
- Facilitating the close linkage between the RLS Office in Ramallah and project partners in Gaza
- Reporting about social and political developments in Gaza to RLS Office in Ramallah
- Ensuring compliance with RLS financial procedures and maintaining accurate, complete project financial documentation and supporting documents for self-implemented activities / projects.
Professional and personal requirements:
- A. in social or political sciences, or related fields
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position
- Identification with progressive ideas and the objectives of RLS
- Excellent command of spoken and written Arabic and English. German is an asset
- Person with strong communication skills, well-organized and self-motivated
Starting date for this position is 15 of November 2026. We do offer a competitive local Palestinian contract.
